Upon returning from several tours in Iraq, and feeling utterly incapable of returning to his former life in the US, Nick Wilson (Paul Anderson) has washed up in Tijuana. Stuck behind the wall separating him from his country, he barely survives amongst the other lost souls America has rejected, walking a narrow path toward self destruction.
But one day he meets Ana (Adriana Paz), a young Mexican woman searching for her missing brother, Ricardo, himself a former GI the army has dismissed and whose rebirth as a pastor has angered a local drug lord. Set upon protecting her, Nick tries to convince Ana to leave Tijuana.
